Sex Offense/Offender Task Force

The Sex Offense/Offender Task Force was created to explore policies surrounding sex offender registration and the Lifetime Supervision Act (see the charter and scope of work). This Task Force met from September 2010 to March 2012.

In January 2013,the Commission assigned specific sex offense topics to the Comprehensive Sentencing Task Force which in May 2013 created the Sex Offense Working Group. This Working Group met from June 2013 through September 2014 to study these assigned topics and to report findings to the Comprehensive Sentencing Task Force.

To ensure balanced representation on the Comprehensive Sentencing Task Force, the CCJJ Chair and Vice-Chair employed a template to guide the appointment process. Representative agencies and stakeholders were determined first, followed by the appointment of volunteers to the available positions.
