Data Sharing Task Force

The Commission discontinued the Data Sharing Task Force in February 2017. The Data Sharing Task Force was seated in April 2015 and met intermittently through its conclusion. The work did not extend beyond the initial study by the primary Task Force (the "Policy Group"). The End User and the Technical Working Groups were never seated. The Commission will continue to monitor developments regarding criminal justice data sharing issues in the state. The Commission may restore committees in the future with updated membership when new issues arise or when environments favorable to the advancement of particular topics occur.

The role of the Task Force was to review data sharing protocols and processes that will improve offender management and services and make recommendations to the Commission. Due to the broad realms of expertise related to this topic, this Task Force comprises interdependent groups to focus on "end-user" needs and experience, on technical specifications and requirements, and on the translation of these elements into policy. All members are appointed by the CCJJ Chair and Vice-Chair.
